The Accidental Genie by Dakota Cassidy Audio Review

Jeannie Carlyle is a caterer extraordinaire, more than ready to handle any challenge thrown at her. But when her client asks her to open up a rare bottle of gin for a party, Jeannie is shocked when a guy in poofy pants pops out and she gets sucked inside. Trapped in the bottle, Jeannie does the only thing she can think of and uses her cell phone to search the term paranormal and finds the number for OOPS—Out in the Open Paranormal Support.

Werewolf Sloan Flaherty isn't keen on dealing with distraught women, especially since his sister-in-law Marty basically forced him to man the OOPS phones. But when Jeannie calls in a panic, Sloan is the only one available to find Jeannie's bottle. After giving it a good rub, Jeannie emerges dressed like a character from Arabian Nights and starts calling Sloan "Master." Now they need to figure out how to break their unwanted bond, before the wishes Jeannie can't stop granting get them into more trouble than even the OOPS girls can handle.

I think the main reason I love this series is because it is full of fun, action and romance and the characters are hilarious. I spend most of my time listening to these and laughing out loud and this one was like the others. We get into this one by meeting Jeannie who calls the OOPS line because she is trapped in a bottle. Yes you heard that right her name is Jeannie and she was tricked into becoming a Genie. Of course in true fashion of this author lots of fun happens along the way while the girls try to help her out and fix her predicament. Of course the normal gang is back with Marty, Wanda, Nina and this time we get the added fun of having Sloan join the mix. I liked Sloan as was a bit of a reformed playboy and it was cool seeing him work through it all.

As the one keeps going we learn way more about Jeannie and I felt so sorry for her. She really was dealt a band hand and the loser that was her ex didn’t help matters any. I couldn’t wait for him to be dealt with. I think what I liked about  Jeannie and Sloan is that since they were forced to be around each other they really got to learn about the other person. They learned their flaws and what made the other person tick. The author created a prefect couple in them and I couldn’t wait for them to get together. Jeannie also gets to learn way more about standing up for herself and just how powerful she may now be. I was great to see the girls help her work through her issues because of course there were tons of laugh out loud moments. I really had to remember that I was at work and hold in some of  my laughs so I wouldn’t get the funny looks.

Overall this was another great installment and I don’t see this series slowing down at all. These books are full of fun and are pure entertainment and the narrator keeps in all going and makes you want to continue listening. I have grown to really love this series and this author and I am interested into checking into some of her other series as she makes such fun and campy reads that you can’t help but to be addicted too. I think after I finish up this audio series I am also going to check out what else this narrator has done  to see what other new series I may have missed getting into. The bottom line is if you are looking for fun, romance and a book about friendships and girls being able to bond and with each other this is the series you need to be listening to.
