All she wants is a home, but can she find one…UNDER DIFFERENT STARSKricket Hollowell is normally not one to wish upon stars; she believes they’re rarely in her favor. Well versed at dodging caseworkers from Chicago’s foster care system, the past few years on her own have made Kricket an expert at the art of survival and blending in. What he’s learning of Kricket and her existence away from her true home only confirms his theory. But, when he and Kricket lie together under the stars of Ethar, counting them all may be easier than letting her go.Kyon Ensin’s secrets number the stars; he knows more about Kricket’s gifts than anyone and plans to possess her because of them. He also knows she’s more valuable than any fire in the night sky. He’ll move the heavens and align them all in order to make her his own. When everything in their world can be broken, will Kricket rely upon love to save her under different stars?

I have been wanting to read this series for a really long time and after having so many of my book friends love it I had to finally get around to it. I am so glad I wasn’t disappointed as it was a really amazing read. I am going to do the quick bullet thing showing what I loved about this one below:

  • I loved Kricket from the start. She was feisty, fierce and quick on her feet. She could hold her own and didn’t take anything from anyone.
  • I loved getting to meet Trey and the way he was able to be selfless and put his people first. I enjoyed the way he was able to teach and explain things to Kricket without making her feel like she was clueless. He understood that she knew nothing about the world and was coming in not having any clue about it all.
  • I enjoyed the banter between Kricket and Trey and the slowly budding relationship between them.
  • I loved as Kricket learned more about the world she knew nothing about she also learned she has powers and I can’t wait to see how those develop.

Overall this was a great read and I loved the way the author made this book about more than just aliens and she showed a little but of love, plenty of action and even a little bit of fun mixed in. I can’t wait to see what the next book brings us.
